Ahead of its 50th birthday celebration, Brass Rail – Selfridges’ heritage Salt Beef Bar which launched in 1966, decided to relaunch with a new look and expanded menu, they called on Shine Food Machinery to assist. Incorporating their bespoke Hyginox, H2 Hygiene Stainless Steel Fabrication, Shine Food Machinery worked closely with Tricon Foodservice Consultants and the Selfridges Design Team to deliver the world class facility, which will be the new home to the Brass Rails’ legendary Salt Beef and Reuben Sandwich, through its 50th year and beyond.
The revamped Brass Rail location within the London store will accommodate two complementary propositions. Brass Rail Salt Beef, which will carry on its unparalleled run within Selfridges, and the Brass Rail Coffee, a new elevated coffee-lovers destination in partnership with Origin coffee. The bespoke Shine Food Machinery Coffee Bar station will be the UK’s first permanent MOD bar exclusively dedicated to coffee.
Stuart Timms, Design Director of Tricon Foodservice Consutlants, who designed the catering facility commented “what an excellent job Shine have done of realising the dream for Selfridges. The counter arrangement looks absolutely brilliant, great detail and finishing throughout. The entire Shine team performed brilliantly achieving an end result that I am certain has exceeded our clients expectations”
