The Lloyd’s
of London insurer Amlin will soon be wowing its clients at the top of the 224m
High Leadenhall Building, or as it is more commonly known by its nickname “The
Cheesegrater” and Shines have been carefully selected to deliver this
prestigious catering equipment fit-out contract.
The contract, which has been designed by UK
Food Service Consultants TRICON, consists of 2 catering facilities within the
building.
There will be a large Pantry
Kitchen on the 24
th
floor with the main Kitchen area on the 45th
floor offering fine dining to clients.
The latter being the highest occupied floor within the building,
offering stunning panoramic views over the capitol.

Frederick, the
son of William Henry Smith (
WH Smith
), who was later to become Viscount
Hambleden, built North Bovey Manor House in the early 20
th
century. This extravagant neo-Elizabethan masterpiece has a contrasting
staircase of a Jacobean style, ornate plaster ceilings, oak paneled dining
room, banqueting hall with minstrel’s gallery, open fireplace with a carved
stone chimney and an Adam drawing room.
Shine have been
entrusted with the integration of a state of the art kitchen facility within
the listed building’s fabric and finishes. The large viewing window from
the entrance to the restaurant will provide yet another juxtaposition, updating
this historical longstanding tradition.
